Beginners Class
Are you new to archery and don’t know where to begin?
Our beginners class sizes vary with the amount of instructors in attendance. We provide all the archery equipment, if you have your own please bring it to class. Safety is the main focus, while having fun developing your archery skills.
2011 Beginner’s Classes
Mayberry Archers holds classes at our indoor range for beginning archers of all ages on Tuesdays from October 4 through November 22, 2011 at 7:00 pm, and on Fridays from January 6 through February 24, 2012 at 7:30 pm. All necessary equipment including bows and arrows will be provided by the club if you don’t have your own. Classes will teach proper shooting technique with a strong emphasis on safety. There is a small fee of $45 per student that helps to cover operating costs of the club and equipment maintenance, while the classes are in progress.
Archery can seem overwhelming for beginners. There are so many different styles of shooting and so many choices of equipment that it can be hard to know where to start. We want your first experience with archery to be a good one, and we want you to keep coming back. We offer classes for beginners in the Fall and Winter - please join us. We would love to answer your questions and give some advice to get you started. You can also come to our meetings on the third Thursday of every month at 7:30 pm, or come on out to the scheduled Indoor, Field, or 3D events and say hello.
