It doesn’t seem possible but the Winter Season is back. Our first indoor 300 Round shoot is October 25th at 10 am. The open 300 round shot on Wednesday nights will begin the first Wednesday of November at 7:30.
Beginners classes began this past Tuesday night. We can use more volunteers to help with the classes. I often hear we used to get 30 – 40 beginners and now we only get 8 – 10. That is very true — but — without volunteers to help we can only handle the 8 – 10 we get! These classes are about the basics, safety and having fun with archery. Almost anyone can help out and do something!
Our League begins in January! Anyone interested in shooting the League this year contact Sandy or show up on the first night, which is January 6th at 7:30 pm. While we do shoot for score, it is a very relaxed atmosphere and everyone has a great deal of fun!
The next meeting is October 15th at 7:30 pm.
At our November Meeting we will be discussing and voting on raising the dues for 2010. As a Mayberry member it is important for your opinion to be heard and counted. Get involved in “your” club, attend the meetings, and be an active member. Without everyones involvement, we cannot continue to grow and be successful as an archery club.
Our December meeting will involve the election of officers for 2010. Anyone interested in running for an office please attend both the November meeting for nomination and the December meeting for nomination and/or election.
Thank you to everyone who helped out so far in 2009 by bringing cardboard, building targets, putting out targets, helping with shoots, etc… A special thanks to Tony Ciani for taking over the 3D and doing a great job.
